Fresh Ontario Garlic is available while supplies last. Our hard-neck variety, “Music”, grows briefly before pausing to rest under a blanket of snow followed with a big spring growing spurt prior to the mid-summer harvest.
Music, thought to be related to Russian Red, produces fat 6-8 clove bulbs, wrapped in a papery, ivory coloured sheath with purplish-red streaking throughout each clove. Depending on the extremities and soil conditions, Music generally produces sweet garlic with a rich, nutty flavour and moderate but complex heat.
